4 Things

All,

So why we are fast at work on bugs and the new Forum Software, I wanted to let everyone know three things.

  1. The developers of pimp no longer want to maintain the Firefox addon Pimp Agent.  There are a few reasons, but for one the code is very old and hasn’t always worked the way it should have with the new Utopia and new Pimp.  It was written by Molesquirrel and therefor hasn’t been brought over to the new pimp.  So we don’t want to leave you high and dry.  I have been in talks with the UTools Developer.  He has now been sending data to pimp through his extension and it works perfectly.  UTools can be found here.
  2. Any ASP.NET MVC/C# developers out there?  Pafo while an extremely talented programmer is working on the new forums software, I am currently working on pimp and we are a fully distributed team.  We have the source where it can easily be pulled down and start working asap.  So anyone want to volunteer some time? I am willing to open up some of the source to you.  I promise good work, interesting code and a fun skype call at least once a month. hah!  If you want to volunteer, hit us up over at team  at utopiapimp.com.
  3. By now, some of you have seen the Notifier.  We will be upgrading it here very soon after more bugs have been fixed.  Just thought I would let you know to be on the look out for more detailed notifications.
  4. Its been a long time coming, but with the new Notifier its about time I Redo the CE Intake part of the Site.  With Pafo working on new features, I figured I would keep working on Bugs.  The biggest problems right now are coming mainly from the CE Parser.  So I want to let everyone know, In the coming days, CE’s might not work properly and might have a few more bugs than usual.  But I should be getting somewhere with this in the next few days and CE’s should be taken and absorbed a lot better than in the past.
