Are there Any Programmers in the House?

So I have toiled with the idea for a while, but I figured I would ask the crowd of developers first.
What do you all think of open sourcing UtopiaPimp?
While these days, there are a lot of developers out there that use pimp and have created other parts that could successfully be integrated into pimp. I was wondering what your thoughts on it were.
I would require that open sourcing this software, the restrictions would be only ever allowing this instance of UtopiaPimp.com to run. Never any other site would be allowed to run the code. Think of it as group think. We all work together for the good of the community.
I would also require more than just a few developers to decide to jump in. So lets say if I could get 10 or so committed developers to spend some of their spare and free time on pimp each month, I would be a bit more interested in open sourcing the code.
So what say you? Are you a developer? Would you like a challenge? Would you enjoy committing to an open source project?
